Building Acquisition, Renovation, and Expansion Project
Our dreams are becoming reality! We are so excited to announce our capital campaign is in full gear to raise the remaining balance that will allow us to buy our building and expand our services. Our purpose to inspire hope and serve sexual assault survivors is expanding.
Phase #1 – Acquisition of our current rented office building in Highland, Indiana, allows us to continue the rape crisis center operations and community services.
Phase #2 – Renovation of the building will give us a new entrance, better security system, and some cosmetic upgrades.
Phase #3 – Expansion will add four secure non-congregate housing units for adults who are fleeing from dating violence, sexual assault, stalking or human trafficking.
The need to provide 24/7/365 services is one of the most vital and immediate concerns for survivors of sexual violence, intimate partner violence, domestic violence and trafficking. Survivors often struggle with breaking the cycle and require secure housing that will allow them the time and space to decompress and heal.
Our plan includes essential wrap-around services and therapeutic counseling to assist in learning healthy coping skills and unlearn abusive tactics. Victims may also need assistance with separation, divorce, child custody and support, adoption or emancipation.
